Ops + Investments
- Traffic Patterns: Sundays are busy. Friday Kirtan currently has no momentum. NYC people are busy locally. Some young people showing up from Corning.
- Local Impact: Once-a-month Saturday Puja brings ~50 people from Indian vicinity (out of 300 families). Bringing in donors (ADL).
- Outreach: Visiting Binghamton & Rochester monthly. Exploring collaboration with Dr. Bandhari for a Binghamton temple. Cornell/Ithaca Hindu club talks active.
- Strategic Goal: Fill the temple with both Indians and spiritual seekers. What needs to change?
National Integrations
Plugging into the wider Hindu landscape
- BAPS Circuit: Millions visit BAPS New Jersey. How do we integrate into that circuit?
- Pilgrimage Routes: Nationwide followers go to Pittsburgh (oldest temple in America) as a pilgrimage. We are on the way to Niagara Falls. How do we pull that traffic?
- VHP Partnership: VHP recently brought 40 people from New Jersey.
- Local Partnerships: Good relationship with local priests who visit our temple (friends of Sri Govind Bhatar, Venkatesh temple).
- Opportunity: There are not many Hindu temples in our immediate area, presenting a geographic advantage.
Questions for Guruji
Key strategic alignment needed
- 1. The School Project: What is the status, and what exactly does Guruji want for this project moving forward?
- 2. Location Feasibility: Do you want us to formally study the feasibility of moving Elmira/New York somewhere else?
- 3. Visa Strategy: Can we pursue the Mauritius passport option (paying $10K), as the consul stated B1/B2 should be fine?
- 4. Leadership Roles: What is Sv Revati's specific role in America?
